In 1887, Michael Cudahy, with the backing of Philip Danforth Armour, started the Armour-Cudahy packing plant in Omaha, Nebraska. [3] Cudahy Packing Company was created in 1890 when Cudahy bought Armour's interest. [3] The company added branches across the country, including a cleaning products plant at East Chicago, Indiana, built in 1909. [3]

Edward Aloysius Cudahy Jr. (/ ˈ k ʌ d ə h eɪ / CUD-ə-hey); August 22, 1885 – January 8, 1966), [1] also known as Eddie Cudahy, was kidnapped on December 18, 1900 in Omaha, Nebraska. Edward Cudahy Sr. was the wealthy owner of the Cudahy Packing Company , which helped build the Omaha Stockyards through the 1950s.
He was also active in business as a partner and vice president of Papa Luigi Spaghetti Dens, a San Francisco-based franchise company formed by Joe Kearns and James Braly. Marciano had two children—a daughter, Mary Anne (born 1952), who died on June 3, 2011, of complications from a respiratory illness [ 26 ] and a son, Rocco Kevin (born 1968).
The following year the Cudahy Historical Society was formed to restore and preserve the building as a museum and community center and in 1978, the historical society acquired the deed to the depot. In 1983, it became a Milwaukee County Registered Landmark [ 2 ] and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
