9 – 10 April 2021: A generic BBC ident, featuring a gold coloured BBC logo forming onto a blue background in silence, followed by the continuity announcer saying, "This is the BBC". This ident was first seen to introduce special programming across both BBC One and BBC Two following the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, on 9 April.
On 27 September 2018, the 1991–2001 idents were retired once again and BBC Two introduced a new set of idents, based on scenes incorporating a curve motif resembling the number 2. The new branding is designed to reflect BBC Two's "constant evolution, constant eclecticism, [and] constant sense of quality".
On 1 January 2015, BBC Two was rebranded with the 1990s idents returning as the only idents in use after a short break during the Christmas season. The 2015 rebrand consists of the 1991–2001 idents, but they now have the BBC Two 50 Years box replaced with BBC Two's regular teal-coloured box logo.

The BBC One "Rhythm & Movement" idents were a set of on-screen channel identities designed by Lambie-Nairn and used on BBC One from 29 March 2002 to 7 October 2006. They replaced the balloon idents , and spelled the end of the much recognised globe identity by the BBC , which had been used in various ways since 1963.
Meanwhile, BBC Two shifted to new "personality"-themed idents to reflect its current programming direction, where the 2 was now depicted as a three-dimensional, anthropomorphic character. In 2006, BBC One adopted new "Circle" idents , which involved circles being formed by nature or people and their actions.
