The Port of Leixões (Portuguese: Porto de Leixões, pronounced [lɐjˈʃõjʃ]) is one of Portugal's major seaports, located 4 km north of the mouth of the Douro River, in Matosinhos municipality, near the city of Porto. Leixões Sport Club, commonly known simply as Leixões, is Matosinhos' sports club.
An extension of the service is being considered until the Port of Leixões, by the terminus of the Porto Metro's line A. [21] For international travel, the Porto airport is located partly in Matosinhos municipality, while the Port of Leixões regularly receives cruise ships in its cruise terminal.
