RE: The Lockheed Jetstar Myth #10705969. Shyflyer that was Douglas's entry into the Air Force contract in the 1950's. There where three companies that entered. It was won by North American who also did pretty well on the newly emerging Biz-jet market, but Lockheed also got some Air Force Sales with the Jetstar.
