Megumin (Japanese: めぐみん) is a fictional character from the light novel, manga, and anime series KonoSuba, written by Natsume Akatsuki.In the universe of KonoSuba, a parallel world with MMORPG elements, Megumin is a sorcerer who joins protagonist Kazuma Satou's party in an attempt to defeat the Demon King.
The party learns from Yunyun that the Crimson Demon village is under attack by one of Devil King's generals, Sylvia. At Megumin's request, the party follows Yunyun to the village. There, Kazuma makes advances towards Megumin and learns that a Japanese man created the Crimson Demons - along with weaponry to counter the Devil King's attacks.
After an uneventful duel resulting in Megumin's victory, Kazuma and Megumin somehow end up sharing a bath together, leading to some panic when Aqua returns home. The next day at Wiz's shop, Megumin and Yunyun have another duel to decide who can properly use a magical Friendship Crystal, which ends up showing everyone their past embarrassments.
Megumin and Yunyun destroy Sylvia with their combined powerful attack, with Kazuma also perishing. Afterward, Kazuma is revived and returns to Axel with his party. The series follows the adventures of Kazuma Satou who, after he dies of a heart attack after pushing a girl out of the way of a truck, which turned out to be a tractor, is sent to an RPG-like world, going on various adventures alongside a goddess named Aqua, a magician named Megumin, and a dame named Darkness.
As Kazuma travels to a nearby shrine, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness follow him to try and convince him to change his mind. On the way, they encounter a wounded girl, which Kazuma warns is a monster called a Tranquility Girl in disguise that presents a facade of innocence to lure her prey.
After Wiz teaches Kazuma the Drain Touch skill, the party takes on a request to exorcise evil spirits from a mansion where they can stay during the winter. That night, Kazuma and Megumin find themselves on the run from an army of possessed dolls while also desperately needing the bathroom. Aqua saves the day again with her Turn Undead spells.
