Crown Candy Kitchen is a fast food restaurant, ice cream fountain, and candy store located on St. Louis Avenue in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. This St. Louis landmark is the oldest operating soda fountain in the metropolitan area, and one of the oldest in the country.
In March 2009, a fire destroyed the ice cream factory building on the site. [1] [3] That same year, the complex was nominated and accepted to the National Register of Historic Places. [1] In August 2011, Saint Louis University purchased the site from Prairie Farms.
