Moi University is a public university located in Kesses, Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu county, in the former Rift Valley Province of Kenya. [1] It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of the Parliament of Kenya, after recommendations from the McKay Commission.
The town of Eldoret was established in the midst of the farms they created. Uasin Gishu was split later in the 2000s into Eldoret East, Eldoret West and Wareng.
