Kevin Cunningham is an American boxing trainer [1] who started the police boxing program in 1991, originally a police officer. He is credited for bringing up boxing world champions Cory Spinks , [ 2 ] Devon Alexander , [ 3 ] David Diaz , [ 4 ] and amateur boxing champion Stephen Shaw [ 5 ]

Michael Spinks (born July 22, 1956) [a] is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1988. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the undisputed light heavyweight title from 1983 to 1985, and the lineal heavyweight title from 1985 to 1988.
Alexander grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of north St. Louis, Missouri in an area described as rough and full of gangs and drugs. [3] He later joined the boxing gym that Kevin Cunningham, a former police officer and security officer at Clay Community Center turned trainer, founded in the basement of an old police station.
Native to Belleville, Illinois (part of Greater St. Louis), McCaskill and was raised by her great aunt and her four sons. As a child her family fell on hard times and lived in the back of a local church. In 2008 McCaskill started her amateur boxing career. In 2012 McCaskill moved to Chicago and started working as an investment banker. [3]
