My truck's ICP sensor had been replaced by River City Diesel by the previous owner and I've been having some odd running issues that seem to have started when I ...

Then you just match the wires. To make it easy you can get a piece of tape and write what color is what and attach it to the correct wires.

Died numerous times, rough idle and naturally no power. Fuel pressure is between 55-61, IPR is 25-30, ICP Voltage is .9-1.2 from idle to 1500 and at 2500 ...

Pin 1 - Gray wire with Red stripe (signal return, or ground) Pin 2 - Brown wire with White stripe (5 volt reference voltage) Pin 3 - Dark Blue wire with Light Green stripe (signal) Somehow you are getting more voltage to the signal wire than you should (bad sensor or a wiring short are the most likely causes IMO).

  6. ICP voltage - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

ICP pressure and IPR information. The IPR valve is normally open; it takes a 12 volt pulse width modulated ground signal to actuate the IPR. -Monitor the ICP while cranking, if it is .4v to .5v (200 psi) it is a possible stuck IPR. The system will build 200 psi even if the IPR is open. Make sure that oil pressure registers on the dash gauge ...

The ICP sensor has 3 wires going to it. 2. Brown/white, dark blue/light green, and gray/red. 3. Strip back db/lg signal wire and touch with positive lead from volt meter. 4. Strip back gray/red ground wire and touch with negative lead from volt meter. 5. Get someone to crank the truck and watch the voltage as they raise the rpm.

  9. ICP O-Ring... and Whatever Else is Underneath It

    www.powerstroke.org/threads/icp-o-ring-and-whatever-else-is-underneath-it.841745

Pulled the ICP sensor and the O-ring for the sensor was destroyed, as was whatever grommet was underneath it. After going to some local auto parts stores (dealer is closed today), I've determined that nobody around here knows where I can find one. I searched online and wasn't able to find anything about it, even on Tousley, the diagrams it ...

  10. 04 6.0 runs with ICP unplugged/dies instantly when plugged in

The reason your truck starts with it unplugged is that the pcm defaults to a pre-determined pressure to fire the rig up when it doesn;t sense the ICP. When you plug it in the pcm is calling for the 550 and up psi to fire it off but the ICP ...

I changed screen and cleaned plunger and reinstalled still low icp pressure. Replace dummy plugs and stand pipes both sides.
