A dedicated changeling might attempt to make a disguise more convincing by picking one close to their true form (like a human), using magic, using legerdemain, making use of concealment, and/or limiting the circumstances under which they are observed, but a changeling forced to adopt a new form 'on the fly' will have great difficulty pulling it ...

A changeling can't turn into, say, a wolf, which has the right number of limbs but in a different arrangement (i.e. four legs, no arms). They also couldn't become a four-armed thri'kreen, because the changeling doesn't have six limbs to start with.

  4. There is no age section in the Changeling race stats, and I am just curious as to what its lifespan and maturity rate would be. I thought that it could potentially be based on the species it is polymorphed into. Let's say that this changeling has been in human form for 50 years.

The changeling from the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron can duplicate someone else's appearance (and voice), quite accurately. The version of the changeling published in the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron (the current version of which also appears in Unearthed Arcana: Eberron Races) has the Change Appearance trait:

Changeling Instincts grants only one skill instead of two, but in exchange +3 to three skills. One skill proficiency less is worth -2 points. One skill proficiency less is worth -2 points. The +3 however is during tier one and two play on average comparable to a proficiency (because your proficiency bonus will range from +2 to +4), and tier one ...

So a werewolf changeling could look like any Medium-sized four-limbed quadruped, a wererat changeling could turn into Small-sized quadrupeds, etc. Changeling druids also have similar flexibility in Wild Shape. However, a changeling affected by the Polymorph spell no longer has their racial traits.

A Changeling's shapechanger feature allows them to change their voice as an action. But unlike Kenku, the actor feat, and Rogue(Assassin)'s impostor feature, "mimicry" isn't mentioned. Are Changelings able to innately mimic voices or is some check required when trying to imitate a voice/vocal mannerisms?

  9. The dragon's ability is expressly magical. The Changeling's ability is not. Therefore, effects that detect magic are no use in identifying a polymorphed changeling, though they would help you spot a polymorphed dragon. There are, however, other means to identify a polymorphed Changeling. Any being with Truesight can:

While there doesn't appear to be a simple table in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition dnd-5e, there was one in the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 dnd-3.5e Dungeon Master's Guide 2003, 29. Though it's not as necessary in 5e to have a 'rule for everything', size in 5e is almost exclusively defined by the space a creature takes up in combat.

It is at the GM's discretion. The rules are somewhat unclear on this. While it is rather clear that basic shape was meant to refer to the changeling's, the part you cite somewhat contradicts this, by suggesting that a transformation quadruped -> quadruped works, especially so, since a changeling will by default never be a quadruped.
