Rafael Márquez Méndez (born 25 March 1975) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2013. He is a two-time world champion in two weight classes, having held the IBF bantamweight title from 2003 to 2007; and the WBC, Ring magazine, and lineal super bantamweight titles in 2007.
The son of Mexican footballer Rafa Márquez, he was born in France, while his father was playing for Monaco. [1] He began his youth career in Mexico with Pumas UNAM. [2] In 2019, he joined the youth system of Atlas. [3]
