James Hourihan, a native of Ireland, educated at All Hallows College, Dublin, who served at St. Andrew's first as assistant pastor from 1931-1936 and then as pastor for 27 years from 1955 to 1982. [10] In 1986, Msgr. Hourihan published a 224-page history of St. Andrew's parish.
The parish was created as an offshoot of St. Andrew's Church. The Kateri native group met at St. Andrew's parish hall and hosted one Mass every month at the church.
