The Einstein–Szilard or Einstein refrigerator is an absorption refrigerator which has no moving parts, operates at constant pressure, and requires only a heat source to operate. It was jointly invented in 1926 by Albert Einstein and his former student Leó Szilárd , who patented it in the U.S. on November 11, 1930 ( U.S. patent 1,781,541 ).
Common absorption refrigerators use a refrigerant with a very low boiling point (less than −18 °C (0 °F)) just like compressor refrigerators.Compression refrigerators typically use an HCFC or HFC, while absorption refrigerators typically use ammonia or water and need at least a second fluid able to absorb the coolant, the absorbent, respectively water (for ammonia) or brine (for water).
Einstein and Szilard themselves named it the "Einstein Refrigerator" in the document shown in the article, notice the name in big letters and the signatures of both inventors. 77.215.46.17 20:59, 2 June 2010 (UTC) Here is support for moving this article to Einstein-Szilard refrigerator. Dannen, Geene (1997).
A refrigerator which is compressorless (no compressor) and maybe also fanless (no fan). Is there such a thing at least under research if not in retail markets? Please refer me to an article or share some data. Thanks a lot. 2A10:8012:17:CDC6:9584:54AE:7AE6:F8E7 07:11, 16 May 2023 (UTC) Have a look at Einstein refrigerator.
Didn't Szilard and Einstein patent a household refrigerator, later manufactured and marketed by Electrolux? Yes, Einstein Refrigerator The constant pressure refrigerator was patented with Einstein and is more properly known as the Einstein-Szilárd refrigerator: Dannen, Geene (1997), "The Einstein-Szilard Refrigerators" , Scientific American ...
1995 – Eric Cornell and Carl Wieman create the first [17] Bose–Einstein condensate, using a dilute gas of Rubidium-87 cooled to 170 nK. They won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2001 for BEC. 1999 – D.J. Cousins and others, dilution refrigerator reaching 1.75 mK

(1) "In 1926, Albert Einstein and former student Leó Szilárd co-invented a unique type of refrigerator (usually called "The Einstein Refrigerator")." Although, this is factually correct but they dont claim to have invented a perpetual motion machine, but a fridge..
