This is the first and (to date) only version of Family Feud to air exclusively on NBC. [19] [20] In 2015, the show was revived by ABC with Steve Harvey, host of the syndicated version of Family Feud, selected as host, and Burton Richardson returning as announcer. [21]
Following a similar format to the TV version, two celebrity guests (i.e. comedians, musicians, chefs and actors) plays two rounds of the show before going into a fast round to determine the winner. With a special theme for each episode, the contestant compete against the top 100 survey responses to win a prize on behalf of a listener.
Two new families compete in the first half-hour and the winners compete against the champions in the second half-hour, similar to the 1994 U.S. version (hosted by Richard Dawson at the time). Unlike the U.S. version, however, the family does not win anything if they do not reach 200 points. On the 2019 revival, each winning family plays for $5,000.
The winners of those two games then proceeded to the "championship game", Family Feud. For the finals, each celebrity assembled a five-person team of family and friends to play Family Feud, with the charity of the winning "family" receiving $100,000. Brande Roderick was the showcase winner on the episode featuring The Price Is Right.
