Croydon Central, Croydon North East, Croydon North West and Croydon South Croydon was an electoral division for the purposes of elections to the Greater London Council . The constituency elected four councillors for a three-year term in 1964, 1967 and 1970.
The ward covered central Croydon. For elections to the Greater London Council , the ward was part of the Croydon electoral division from 1965 and then the Croydon Central division from 1973. Vivian Bendall , who was a councillor for the ward throughout its existence, became MP for Ilford North in 1978 .

Local elections for City of York Council took place on 7 May 2015. New ward boundaries came into effect. [ 26 ] Of the 47 seats contested, Labour won 15 seats to form the largest group on the council, Conservatives won 14 seat, the Liberal Democrats won 12 seats, the Green Party won four seats and two independent candidates won seats. [ 27 ]
