Lightsum (Korean: 라잇썸; RR: Raitsseom; MR: Raitssŏm, stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: Sangah, Chowon, Nayoung, Hina, Juhyeon, and Yujeong. Originally an eight-piece ensemble, members Huiyeon and Jian departed the group in October 2022.
Into the Light is the first extended play by South Korean girl group Lightsum. The EP was released by Cube Entertainment on May 24, 2022, and contains five tracks, including the lead single "Alive". This was the final release to feature former members Huiyeon and Jian, before their departures from the group on October 25, 2022.

On September 24, Cube Entertainment announced that Lightsum would be releasing their second single album titled Light a Wish on October 13. [1] On September 28, the promotional schedule was released. [2] On September 29, the track listing was released with "Vivace" announced as the lead single. [3]
Prior to the release of "Vanilla", Lightsum held an online showcase on the same day to introduce the song and to communicate with their fans. [14] The group subsequently performed on three music programs in the first week: KBS's Music Bank on June 11, [15] MBC's Show! Music Core on June 12, [16] and SBS's Inkigayo on June 13. [17]
On January 26, 2023, it was announced that the Queendom series would have a third season, but would be different from the previous two seasons. [3]The show will focus on forming a global project girl group by taking members from currently active girl groups as well as solo female artists and piecing them together like a puzzle.
