Robert Taylor Homes was a public housing project in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois from 1962 to 2007. The largest housing project in the United States, it consisted of 28 virtually identical high-rises, set out in a linear plan for two miles (3 km), with the high-rises regularly configured in a horseshoe shape of three in each block.
North Park Plaza is a shopping center in Villa Park, Illinois. It began as an indoor mall known as North Park Mall. It opened in 1973 as a 340,000 square foot enclosed shopping center. Anchors such as Robert Hall Village clothing store, Dominick's Finer Foods, and JCPenney were found in the mall. [1]
Villa Park was built originally for that reason, as well as for a convenient train stop. Following the construction of a subdivision called Villa Park in 1908, and another called Ardmore in 1910 by the real estate firm Ballard & Pottinger, Villa Park was incorporated in 1914 by uniting the two subdivisions of 300 people.
