Community Consolidated School District 46 is a PK-8 school district located in the northern reaches of Lake County, Illinois; almost half of its schools are based in the village of Grayslake. The consolidated district is composed of seven schools: those seven schools can further be divided into two branches.

This conference consists of Antioch, Lakes, Grayslake Central, Grayslake North, Waucounda, Round Lake, Grant, and North Chicago. Vernon Hills also left the conference to join the Central Suburban League. The new NSC also welcomed Waukegan during the 2016–17 season.
The conference was established in 2016 with six former members of the North Suburban Conference (Antioch, Grant, Lakes, North Chicago, Round Lake, and Wauconda) and two former members of the Fox Valley Conference (Grayslake Central and Grayslake North). As the name implies, all members of the conference are located in Lake County.
