The Toro Company was established as the "Toro Motor Company" in 1914 to build tractor engines for The Bull Tractor Company. [4] It built steam engines to support war efforts during World War I, and changed its name to Toro Manufacturing Company in 1920 when it began to refocus on manufacturing farm equipment. [5]
The Wheeler–Schebler Carburetor Company was one of the Indianapolis's most important auto parts manufacturers and the last automobile parts factories in Indianapolis, Indiana to survive from the first decades of the 20th century. The Wheeler–Schebler Carburetor Company Building was the company's original building at the Barth Avenue site. [3]
Autolite 4300A Carburetor. The Autolite 4300 was a four-barrel (four venturi) carburetor manufactured by Autolite in multiple variants from 1967 through 1974. Used by both Ford and AMC, it was produced as an emissions-compliant replacement for the previous Autolite 4100 model, and was superseded by the Motorcraft 4350.
Deluxe versions became available in 1955. The Model 725 variant was later introduced in 1958. These models all share a common design differing only by features and may be collectively referred to within this article as the Model 721 unless otherwise noted. Model 721 production ended in 1961 with the replacement Model 700 taking over in 1962.
