The league was renamed as the Eastern League in 1938 when the Scranton Miners of Scranton, Pennsylvania, moved to Hartford, Connecticut, and became the Hartford Bees. The league has had teams in a total of 52 different cities, located in 12 different states and two Canadian provinces. The league consisted of six to eight teams from 1923 until 1993.
The Football Federation of Kosovo (Albanian: Federata e Futbollit e Kosovës; FFK) is the governing body of football in Kosovo, [1] with headquarters in Pristina.The Football Federation of Kosovo was established in 1946 as a branch of the Football Association of Yugoslavia, [2] it has since become independent and was headed by Fadil Vokrri until his sudden death in 2018.
The league has its origins in 1945 when it became one of the subdivisions of the 5th level in the Yugoslav football league system. It gathered the best clubs from the SAP Kosovo except for those clubs competing in higher levels. In 1991, an unrecognised parallel league gathering ethnic Albanian pro-independence clubs was set, and was run till 1999.

[1] [2] Kosovo football clubs can qualify for UEFA's two of the three main continental competitions, the UEFA Champions League since the 2017–18 season and the UEFA Europa Conference League since the 2021–22 season.
