The citizens of Tempest welcome Rimuru and Veldora back and they have a huge celebration together. Afterwards, Rimuru, his subordinates and his allies gather to discuss their next moves given the recent events. Dwargon and the newly allied Sorcerer Dynasty Sarion later arrive to take part in the meeting.
As summer arrives, its heat is causing exhaustion among the city's working population. To cool down, Rimuru enjoys some activities in the forest with a group of Hobgoblins, including bug-catching and a water fight. Back in the city, Benimaru takes part in an endurance contest to see who can best take the heat, but is taken out by Shion's cooking.
In turn, Rimuru helped Veldora by providing him with companionship and freeing him from the "Infinite Prison" by devouring him. He is soon released and given a human body. He also agreed to serve as a front for the defeat of Falmuth's army. Throughout the series, Rimuru and Veldora work together to achieve their goals and protect their friends.
As they continue their journey to Tempest, they are amazed by the road’s structure and how friendly the monsters in Tempest are. While stopping for a drink of water, the group begin to see that Rimuru is not as much of a threat as they thought, though Hinata is unsure of why Rimuru wants to challenge her. Rimuru soon learns that Hinata is close.
