The Paratriathlon at the 2020 Summer Paralympics – Men's PTS4 event at the 2020 Paralympic Games took place at 06:30 on 28 August 2021 at the Odaiba Marine Park. [1] The PTWC classification combined two functional classifications, both of which used handbikes and racing wheelchairs for the bike and run respectively, but with different impairment levels.
Each event consists of two rounds: heats and final. The top eight teams overall in the heats progressed to the final. Relay teams consist of two men and two women, and are based on a point score.
There are four classes—PTS2, PTS3, PTS4, and PTS5—with lower numbers indicating more severe limitations. Athletes may use approved prosthesis or other supportive devices for the cycling segment.
The 2020 Summer Paralympics women's tournament in Tokyo began on 25 August and ended on the 4 September 2021. The matches were played at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza and the Ariake Arena.
