The Ducati Diavel is the second cruiser motorcycle from Ducati [4] after the Indiana of 1986–1990. The 2011 model year Diavel debuted in November 2010 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. [4] The second generation Diavel debuted as a 2015 model on 3 March 2014 during the Volkswagen Group Night in Geneva. [5]
The 2018 Ducati Multistrada uses the 1262 cc motor from the Diavel and now designated 1260. The new motor cures the power dip at 5000 rpm of the 1200DVT motor. Ducati changed the way they measure hp and torque so it drops to 158 hp (118 kW) and 95.5 lb⋅ft (129.5 N⋅m) torque. [ 15 ]

Ducati said it was the most powerful Monster ever, with a more track-oriented design. Ducati claimed the engine produced 97 lb⋅ft (132 N⋅m) torque, and 160 hp (120 kW), 15 hp (11 kW) more than the Monster 1200 S. It has the same Testastretta 11° DS, 90-degree V-twin used in the Multistrada and Diavel.
