Centenary College of Louisiana is a private liberal arts college in Shreveport, Louisiana. The college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church . Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

The Gentlemen play their home games at Atkins Field located in Shreveport, Louisiana. They are lead by Head coach Byron Dawson, who is the former head coach of the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles from 2005 to 2019; [3] winning five Louisiana High School Athletic Association state championships. This is Centenary's first football season since 1947.

The State of Louisiana purchased and restored the West Wing, Professor's Cottage, and surrounding 43 acres (170,000 m 2). The 40 acres (16 ha) area comprising the West Wing and the Professor's Cottage was added as Centenary College to the National Register of Historic Places on April 19, 1979. [1]
