Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) is a public community college in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Founded in 1963, it is the oldest and largest public community college within the state. Not until 1961 had Ohio permitted the establishment of community colleges [5] and Ohio was then one of only four U.S. states without them. [6]
In the first year, students master legal terminology, legal documentation, computer skills, and general office procedures. Students learn the legal concepts of a trial by competing in the mock trial at the Justice Center. The introductory course in court reporting from Cuyahoga Community College may be included for college credit.

Today, the college is known as Edison State Community College. From modest beginnings in a rented facility, the college has grown in stages to its current campus. Its enrollment and offerings have grown steadily during its brief forty-year history, from 309 students enrolled in 30 courses in 1973 to more than 3,000 students enrolled today.
