John Rich (born January 7, 1974) is an American country music singer-songwriter. From 1992 to 1998, he was a member of the country band Lonestar , in which he played bass guitar and alternated with Richie McDonald as lead vocalist.

John Rich was Lonestar's bassist and occasional lead vocalist until 1998. Lonestar's sixth chart single was "Come Cryin' to Me", which Rich and Wilson co-wrote with "No News" co-writer Mark D. Sanders. The song became the band's second number-one single in August 1997, [8] two months after the release of its corresponding album, Crazy Nights.
