Carlos Michael Pinera (September 29, 1948 – November 20, 2024) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer who started professionally in the late 1960s with the group Blues Image, which had a number 4 hit in 1970 with their song "Ride Captain Ride".
Pinera released several solo albums, including In the Garden of Eden. Kent Henry died on March 18, 2009, at the age of 60. [3] Joe Lala died of complications from lung cancer on March 18, 2014, at the age of 66. [4] Mike Pinera died of liver failure on November 20, 2024, at the age of 76. [5]
"Ride Captain Ride" is a song recorded by the American rock band Blues Image. It was co-written by the band's singer-guitarist Mike Pinera and keyboardist Frank "Skip" Konte and was included on the group's 1970 album, Open.
