I do the odd Amazon Flex courier shift here and there for a bit of pocket money, max £250 per month not including costs. I have only been doing this for a few months but I have made no declarations of this income.
23 October 2023 at 12:42AM. Been watching YouTube video's of the delivery courier gig thing, where individuals commonly stack the first three, and some do Amazon Flex too. I want to try it. Some are saying get 'business insurance', other sources are saying 'Hire and Reward' delivery insurance, and some are saying the latter is more comprehensive.
Mind only increased by about 40 a year, so was wasnt to bad for me - I occasionally drive for work during the day (a couple of times a year), so was lucky and work paid for the increase. Business insurance and insurance for using your vehicle as a work vehicle is a different thing.

I am already register myself as a self employment for Amazon Flex on apps and I have passed my criminal check and I went through the term & condition and agreed.
Also, the £20 in fuel that you state, at today's pump prices equates to about 160 miles in even a fairly inefficient car. Again, it is not fair to include the commuting fuel as that is a hit anyone has in any job. As it is 50 miles form your home to the depot, maybe that is just too far for this type of casual contract.

Amazon pay your insurance and you are covered minus the excess whilst driving from them. So no need to pay £800. Some of the newer depots are 20 miles away, so I only select jobs from the one located 2 miles away, which is PN.

I sent an email to the address given for complaints to Amazon (complaints@amazon.co.uk) only to get a response that the address is not currently accepting emails! Does anyone know how I can contact them. Their usual Customer Service options have been a waste of time.
