But I just figured something out, I set up another test with 10 second interval, every 5th change is the 2nd monitor.     I have the settings dialog open with the settings for having the day of the week, date, and year. You just have to modify the "short date", that will leave the "long date" alone, which is what you see when you hover over the top in the taskbar.
