Following is a list of sites and structures in Tennessee that have been designated National Historic Landmarks. There are 31 National Historic Landmarks located entirely in the state, and one that includes elements in both Tennessee and Mississippi. All National Historic Landmarks are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The fracturing and weathering of the limestone and sandstone in Cades Cove has led to the formation of several caves in the vicinity, the two largest of which are Gregory's Cave and Bull Cave. In 1906, a new courthouse square was built in Huntsville using a beige-colored native sandstone for the buildings' outer walls. Although the courthouse burned in 1946, two of these sandstone buildings remain— the First National Bank building and the Old Scott County Jail. [10] Both have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
