1959, 1970 New York State Fair Champion John "Irish Jack" Murphy (December 22, 1927 – May 2, 2013) was an American Modified and Supermodified racing driver. Equally skilled on asphalt and dirt-track stock cars, he won the inaugural Oswego International Classic in September 1957.
Yanni was crowned New York State Champion with his victory at the 1954 State Fair. [6] He also claimed the 1954 track championship at Lafayette Speedway, titles in 1957 and 1960 at the Oswego Speedway, and the 1958 honors at the Watertown Speedway, all in New York. Fulton has a number of parks and areas of interest. Recreation Park, a city-owned facility on the banks of Lake Neatahwanta once hosted an amusement park, indoor skating/dancing rink as well as the county fair grounds. In its earlier years, the American Woolen Mills contributed greatly to the development and upkeep of Recreation Park.
