Saxmundham (/ s æ k s ˈ m ʌ n d ə m / saks-MUN-dəm) is a market town and civil parish in the East Suffolk district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It is set in the valley of the River Fromus about 18 miles (29 km) north-east of Ipswich and 5 miles (8 km) west of the coast at Sizewell .
It is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Leiston, 5 miles (8 km) north east of Saxmundham and 3 miles (5 km) from the Suffolk coast. [1] The village is on the B1122 around 2 miles (3 km) east of Yoxford and had a population of 359 at the 2001 census, [2] falling to 343 at the 2011 Census. [3]
