Khatarnak was released on 23 August 1974. The film was crowned as a jubilee hit [2] at both Lahore and Karachi circuits. Despite being a box-office success, Khatarnak received huge criticism due to its vulgar songs and dances. The film also faced bans from time to time after its initial release in theaters.
The Hindi dubbed version was titled "NinXNin" and was released on television three years after the original Japanese version. It has premiered on Nickelodeon India many times since. [ 10 ] The original voice-over for Kanzo Hattori in the Hindi dub of the anime is Meghana Erande and for Kemumaki is Prasad Barve .
