Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology is a publicly funded English-language college located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The college has three campuses, all in Ontario : a primary campus located in Ottawa, and secondary campuses located in Perth and Pembroke .
In the past 25 years, UQO has granted close to 30,000 degrees. The university is also one of the main contributors to the qualified workforce in the region, along with Carleton University, University of Ottawa, La Cité collégiale, Algonquin College and the Cégep de l'Outaouais. However, the institution is a full-fledged degree-granting university, despite the use of the word college in its name. The institution's sister schools, Royal Military College Saint-Jean also uses the term college in its name, although it academic offering is akin to the standard definition of college in Canada.
The college was authorized to operate in Kuwait by an Emiri Decree in October 2010. In September 2015, Algonquin College of Kuwait was established as a branch campus of Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada. The Kuwaiti government allocated land to the college campus in Al-Naseem, Jahra Governorate.
