The Clarkson S. Fisher Federal Building and United States Courthouse, originally known as the United States Courthouse and Federal Building, is located in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. It houses the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. The building was designed by James A. Wetmore and completed in 1932. [3]

Pittsburgh's original courthouse, first occupied in 1794, was a wooden structure located on one side of Market Square. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court and from December 7, 1818, until 1841 the federal Western District of Pennsylvania also held court sessions at Market Square. Land for a new courthouse was purchased in April 1834.
The Mercer County Courthouse Annex at 205-207 South Broad Street was designed by Louis S. Kaplan and built in 1939. [5] In 2010 the state historic preservation office issued a COE (certificate of eligibility) for the courthouse and its annex for inclusion on the in 1990 New Jersey and National Register of Historic Places (#4996).
