David O'Neal Brown (born September 18, 1960 [1]) is an American police officer who served as the Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department from 2020 to 2023 [2] and as chief of the Dallas Police Department from 2010 to 2016.
William O'Neal (April 9, 1949 – January 15, 1990) was an American FBI informant in Chicago, Illinois, where he infiltrated the local Black Panther Party (BPP). He is known for being the catalyst for the 1969 police/FBI assassination of Fred Hampton , head of the Illinois BPP.

On July 28, 2016, 18-year-old Paul O'Neal was shot in the back by Chicago Police Department officers following a grand theft auto chase.
