Advocate Lutheran General Hospital (ALGH) is a 645-bed non-profit teaching hospital located in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, Illinois. Founded in 1897, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is the sixth largest hospital in the Chicago area, and it operates a Level I trauma center .
Advocate Aurora operates in Illinois and Wisconsin. The combined company will operate in six states: Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. It will have 67 hospitals and 150,000 employees with $27 billion in annual revenue. It will be the fifth largest hospital system in the country.
By the end of the 1930s, the hospital had more than 150 beds. [11] In November 2000, Illinois Masonic Medical Center became a hospital member of Advocate Health Care.
