It was rebuilt in 1779 but demolished in 1826 after the completion of a church on the Perth side of the River Tay, [1] which flows a short distance behind the church. Standing on Dundee Road , today's church was built in 1827 to the design of William Burn . [ 2 ]

A notable resource at the library is the photographic collection of W. H. Findlay. The collection contains over 6,000 images of Perth, around a quarter of the total Findlay took over the course of fifty years. Mill Street is a prominent street in the city of Perth, Scotland.Established in at least the 18th century, it runs for about 0.25 miles (0.40 km), from Bridge Lane in the east to South Methven Street in the west, passing through roughly two-thirds of the northern third of the city centre.
The main access roads to Bridgend from the centre of Perth are West Bridge Street (the A85, which crosses Perth Bridge) and South Street (which crosses Queen's Bridge). Due to its location at the bottom of a hill rising to the east, the junction of Main Street and Gowrie Street (known as Bridgend Cross) has become prone to flooding.
