Irwin Thomas (born Irwin Thomas Whittridge; 6 January 1971) is an Australian-American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He performs professionally using the stage name Jack Jones from when he was the lead vocalist-guitarist in the band Southern Sons (1990–1996). His other bands collaborations include Electric Mary, She Said Yes and Ahmet Zappa.
Thomas died on June 24, 2020, at the age of 84. He was succeeded by his son, Bishop Marc A. Thomas, Sr. as the Prelate and Bishop of the COGIC Virginia First Jurisdiction and pastor of the New Community Temple COGIC in Portsmouth, and by Reverend Bruce E. Hughes, Sr. as the pastor of the St. Stephen's COGIC in Virginia Beach.
He holds the distinction of having played three different Charlie Chan sons: as Charlie Chan Jr. in Charlie Chan at the Olympics (1937), as Tommy Chan in Charlie Chan in Honolulu (1938), and in 1940's Charlie Chan's Murder Cruise as Willie Chan, Chan's number seven son.
