Heartbeeps is a 1981 American romantic-comedy and science fiction film about two robots who fall in love and decide to strike out on their own. The robot is named Kunjappan (lit. short man), which creates some confusion among the locals, as Vinu's father shares the same name. Slowly, the robot becomes irreplaceably close to Bhaskaran's heart. Kunjappan also helped Bhaskaran to make contact with his ex-lover Soudamini. Soon enough, Bhaskaran starts to see Kunjappan as his own son.
