Suzhou Rail Transit, also known as Suzhou Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Suzhou, in Jiangsu Province, China. Line 1 began operation on April 28, 2012. [2] Line 2 opened on December 28, 2013. A further three lines, and an extension of Line 2, were completed between 2016 and 2021.
Line 4 is a line of Suzhou Rail Transit. It runs in a north-south alignment from Longdaobang station in Xiangcheng District's the northern suburbs, to the canal town of Tongli in Wujiang District in the south. [1] The line is 41.5 km long with 31 stations. Until October 2024 there was a 11.3 km long branch line with 7 stations.
Suzhou railway station (Chinese: 苏州火车站) is a station on Line 2 and Line 4 of Suzhou Rail Transit. The station is located at the Suzhou railway station in Gusu District of Suzhou. It started service on December 28, 2013 with the opening of Line 2.

Line 3 is an east-west line of Suzhou Rail Transit. The line is 45.272 kilometers long. [2] The line links the Wuzhong District, Suzhou Industrial Park, and the Suzhou New District. Line 3 started trial operations from December 6 to December 10, 2019. [3] Official operation started on December 25, 2019. [1]
Construction on Line 1 began on December 26, 2007, and was scheduled to be completed by 2012. It is a line running generally east–west, from Mudu in western Suzhou to Zhongnan Street in Suzhou Industrial Park. [4] It will be 25 km long with 24 stations. On December 30, 2011, the first 21 cars for Line 1 have been delivered. [5]
Yangchenghu South station (Chinese: 阳澄湖南) is the North-Eastern terminus Line 5, Suzhou Rail Transit. [1] The station is located in Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It has been in use since June 29, 2021; when Line 5 opened to the public, [2] and is located on the south bank of Yangcheng Lake.
