Song Sung Blue is an upcoming American biographical musical drama film written, co-produced, and directed by Craig Brewer based on the 2008 documentary by Greg Kohs. It stars Hugh Jackman , Kate Hudson , Michael Imperioli , Fisher Stevens , Jim Belushi , Ella Anderson , King Princess , Mustafa Shakir , and Hudson Hilbert Hensley.
"Song Sung Blue" is a 1972 hit song written and recorded by Neil Diamond, inspired by the second movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto #21. It was released on Diamond's album Moods , and later appeared on many of Diamond's live and compilation albums.
The duo are set to star in Song Sung Blue as Claire and Mike and Claire Sardina, a real-life married couple from Milwaukee who form a Neil Diamond tribute band called Lightning & Thunder.
