Godunov (Russian: Годуно́в) is a Russian historical drama television series created by Ilya Tikin and Nikolay Borisov, directed by Alexei Andrianov and Timur Alpatov. [1] [2] The first season premiered from November 5 to November 8, 2018 on the "Russia-1" national TV channel. The second season premiered from March 25 to March 29, 2019.
The show is set in Moscow and mainly focuses on the young and enthusiastic Maxim "Max" Lavrov, who dreams of becoming a renowned chef one day, so after graduating from a culinary college in his home town of Voronezh and completing his army service, he applies for a job in one of the most expensive restaurants of Moscow Claude Monet, owned by Dmitry Nagiyev, a famous Russian actor and TV host.
The series premiered successfully on the STS channel.The first episode of Londongrad was watched by every fifth Moscow resident. The project, according to TNS Russia, became the leader in its slot in Moscow among all TV channels, with a share of 20.9% in the audience of 10-45 and a share of 27.5% among viewers aged 11 to 34.
