Allen House is a 1734 home that was the 20th-century residence of Historic Deerfield's founders, Henry and Helen Flynt. The Flynt family renovated the house in 1945.
Old Deerfield Center was originally part of adjacent Nottingham, [2] which was incorporated in 1722. Properties within the district include several Georgian Colonial homes and four Greek Revival homes. The town of Deerfield was incorporated in 1766, having originally been part of a land grant that formed Nottingham in 1721.
