The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is a public residential high school located in Natchitoches, Louisiana, US on the campus of Northwestern State University (NSU). The college offers 2-year Associates degrees, as well as industry and technical training, with over 50 programs available. South Louisiana Community College was recognized by the Aspen Institute as a top 150 community college in 2023. [8]

In June 1989, the College received its Proprietary School License from the state of Louisiana. In 1998, the College received accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
The roots of the college date back to the founding of Louisiana Tech in 1894 when the Department of Mechanics was created. Today, the college includes twenty-five degree-granting programs: fourteen undergraduate, seven master's, and four doctoral programs. College programs are located on the Louisiana Tech campus in Ruston, Louisiana.
