Frank "Skip" Konte (born October 2, 1947) is an American keyboardist. [1] He joined The Blues Image in 1967, and stayed with them until they split in 1971. [2] Along with bandmate Mike Pinera, he wrote their one hit single, "Ride Captain Ride".
Henry joined Blues Image during the sessions for Open after Mike Pinera agreed to join Iron Butterfly. His significant contributions to that album, although uncredited, included the tasteful clean solo and fills on "Ride Captain Ride." Mike Pinera plays the distorted solo at the end of the song.
