    Quality wise, it’s definitely Lexus, BMW and Acura, and maybe maybe Porsche and mercedes who win. As far as the German 4 goes: Porsche > Merc > Audi > BMW in terms of luxuriousness.     First off not all luxury brands are equal. In fact not all luxury models from the same brand are equal. There is a big difference between that $36k Mercedes and their models that run closer to and well over $100k. Second: Worth is a relative term. It means different things to different people. It all depends on your budget.

    Lexus easily … luxury cars in general are not unreliable, it’s just that they are expensive to maintain as they get older. Many people don’t want to pay top dollar for maintenance on a car that is getting 10+ years old. The good thing about Lexus is that it’s basically Toyota which is already generally one of the top reliable brands.

    Genesis - Most slept-on luxury brand. Lexus - Really reliable cars. Best Japanese luxury brand. Lincoln - Second-best luxury brand in America behind Cadillac. Tesla - Lots of tech.     For me personally: luxury brands invest seriously in reducing NVH. Think acoustic glass windows, noise insulating padding, etc.. I was recently in search for a low NVH car and could not find anything outside of the luxury brands that worked (I was looking for a used car 4-5 years old, newer non-luxury cars are better with NVH but quite expensive).
