The school reverted to an all–male military school. During the Great Depression the school expanded, creating a junior college, and extending summer classes to students from nearby public and parochial schools. In 1958, the school ended its time as a military school, finally becoming Morgan Park Academy.
The school has over 2,160 students in total from Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 12. Today the school is divided into a Nursery School (Pre-K and Kindergarten), Primary School (grades 1 and 2), Lower School (grades 3 through 5), Middle School (grades 6 through 8), and High School (grades 9 through 12).

This school is the newest school to the district, Broke ground in 1999 and opened in 2001. You can see this school from Interstate 57. This school serves grades 2-4. After the 2011-2012 school year, Manteno Elementary School is building a massive addition to the school. After it is completed, this will house Pre-K and Kindergarten and 1st grade.
