  2. Boiler feedwater - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler_feedwater

Boiler feedwater is the water which is supplied to a boiler. The feed water is put into the steam drum from a feed pump. In the steam drum the feed water is then turned into steam from the heat. After the steam is used, it is then dumped to the main condenser. From the condenser, it is then pumped to the deaerated feed tank.

  3. Boiler water - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler_water

Boiler water is liquid water within a boiler, or in associated piping, pumps and other equipment, that is intended for evaporation into steam. The term may also be applied to raw water intended for use in boilers, treated boiler feedwater, steam condensate being returned to a boiler, or boiler blowdown being removed from a boiler.

  4. Boiler feedwater pump - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler_feedwater_pump

A means had to be provided, of course, to put the initial charge of water into the boiler (before steam power was available to operate the steam-powered feedwater pump). The pump was often a positive displacement pump that had steam valves and cylinders at one end and feedwater cylinders at the other end; no crankshaft was required.

  5. Boiler - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler

One consideration is the introduction of feedwater to the boiler. The pump used to charge the boiler must be able to overcome the boiler's operating pressure, else water will not flow. As a superheated boiler is usually operated at high pressure, the corresponding feedwater pressure must be even higher, demanding a more robust pump design.

  6. Coupon - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coupon

In marketing, a coupon is a ticket or document that can be redeemed for a financial discount or rebate when purchasing a product. Customarily, coupons are issued by manufacturers of consumer packaged goods [1] or by retailers, to be used in retail stores as a part of sales promotions. They are often widely distributed through mail, coupon ...

  7. Economizer - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economizer

The economizer also prevents flooding of the boiler with liquid water that is too cold to be boiled given the flow rates and design of the boiler. A common application of economizers in steam power plants is to capture the waste heat from boiler stack gases and transfer it to the boiler feedwater. This raises the temperature of the boiler ...

  8. Boiler (power generation) - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiler_(power_generation)

Saturated steam taken from the boiler may contain entrained water droplets, however a well designed boiler will supply virtually "dry" saturated steam, with very little entrained water. Continued heating of the saturated steam will bring the steam to a "superheated" state, where the steam is heated to a temperature above the saturation ...

  9. Industrial water treatment - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_water_treatment

Boiler water treatment is a type of industrial water treatment focused on removal or chemical modification of substances potentially damaging to the boiler. Varying types of treatment are used at different locations to avoid scale , corrosion , or foaming .
