East Haven is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States.As of the 2020 census, the town population was 27,923. [1] The town is located 3 miles (5 km) east of New Haven, and is part of the South Central Connecticut Planning Region.

A special tax district has the right under Connecticut law to levy taxes on real estate and personal property within its borders. This tax is in addition to any taxes owed to parent town.
